Human trafficking knows no borders.
This site is an independent virtual center for sharing knowledge, opinions and news about trafficking in Denmark. Both the state's Center Against Human Trafficking and the most important NGOs are represented here.
Women trafficked into the sex industry are the very dark side of prostitution. Sex trafficking is forced prostitution, where perpetrators, in order to make money, cynically exploit thousands of women and children as sex slaves.
Women are also sold into prostitution in Denmark. Women trafficked as sex slaves are typically from Eastern Europe, Asia and Africa. It can be difficult to tell whether the prostituted woman is a victim of human trafficking or not.
The site is intended to help spread knowledge about trafficking and prostitution in Denmark.
Here you will find facts and figures, opinions and descriptions. You will also find films and images on the subject.
The more the public knows about trafficking and prostitution and understands its consequences, the better they can support and promote the efforts in Denmark and around the world that are being made to minimize its extent.
